Ella Taylor, age 59, of Warsaw, Indiana passed peacefully into the loving arms of Jesus on June 11, 2018 at Lutheran Hospital in Fort Wayne. She was born March 29, 1959 at Elgin Air Force Base in Florida to Jewell Timmons (Dawson).
She graduated from Paul Harding High School in Fort Wayne and went on to get an Associate’s Degree in Nursing from Purdue University. She was proud to serve her community as a nurse for 40 years at Parkview Hospital in Fort Wayne before an early retirement to spend more time with family. Family was of the greatest importance to Ella, second only to her devotion to God. She was passionate about art and known by many as a talented artist. She was a care-provider for anyone who needed a helping hand, and was even credited with saving the life of a girl who had drowned in Fort Wayne. She always stayed active and put her heart into everything that she did— she home-schooled her children while working full-time and always made the most of holiday and birthday gatherings.
She will be remembered by her daughter, Vanessa Meza (Taylor) and son, Justin Taylor, both of Warsaw. She is survived by her mother, two sisters Melbra Welch and Evelyn Timmons Petrosky, three brothers- John Timmons, Wade Timmons, Fritz Timmons, and her beloved pet Bird. She also leaves behind five grandchildren whom she adored: Isaac, Damian, Malina, Braxton, and Kalista.
She was preceded in death by her son Jason Taylor and her grandma Vivian Wrightsman.
Friends and family will gather for a memorial service and time of sharing on Thursday June 14 at 7 p.m. at Warsaw Community Grace Brethren Church at 909 Buffalo St., Warsaw, IN 46580.
Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw at a later date.
