Gary Lee Harlan

Gary Lee Harlan, 72, of Wabash passed away Friday, May 31, 2024 at home. He was born on May 23, 1952 to Bedford and Essie (Banks) Harlan in Wabash. Gary married Debbie Culver on May 28, 1985 in Clintwood, VA; she preceded him on July 14, 2008.

Gary worked for Wabash Alloys for over 25 years. In his spare time he enjoyed classic country music, playing his guitar, and watching his beloved Kentucky Wildcats and Pittsburgh Steelers. Gary also very much enjoyed spending time with family.

Gary is survived by his children, Jennifer (Bryan) Whitaker, Gary(Amanda) Harlan Jr., Chelsie (Kent) Montgomery; step children, Jennifer(Brent) Johnson and Matt Culver; grandchildren, Taylor, Mya, Ryliegh, Jase, Jordan, Jade, Janika, Jersey, Sydney, Shelby, Sam, Brianna, & Braxton; siblings, Shelly (Harold) Osborne, Vickie (Mike) Shircliff, Ed Harlan, and Richie Harlan.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Debbie Harlan; his parents, Bedford and Essie; and siblings, Debbie Tucker and Terry “Cowboy” Harlan.

Gary will be honored with a celebration of life at a later date and laid to rest at Falls Cemetery in Wabash.
