Warsaw

George David Essig went to be with the Lord November 22, 2019 at his home in Warsaw from complications of kidney disease.

Dave was born on March 5, 1939, in Warsaw, Indiana, the son of Raymond “Sport” Essig and Mildred (Bruner) Essig.  He graduated from Warsaw High School in 1957 and went into the Air Force where he was stationed on the Pacific island of Guam.

Dave was a member of Redeemer Lutheran Church.  The Essigs are very grateful for the prayers, thoughts, and condolences of family and friends.

Dave is survived by his wife of 55 years, Janet; their two sons Eric (wife Becky) of Leesburg and Jason of Fort Wayne; grandsons Evan and Jared (Tyler); and great granddaughter Millie.  He was preceded in death by his sister, Janet.

Dave will be cremated and a memorial service will be celebrated upon Mrs. Essig’s death as per their wishes.
