Susan Hyde

Susan Hyde, 63, of Pierceton, passed away January 2, 2023 at Parkview Regional Medical Center in Fort Wayne. She was born on Sept. 19, 1959 in Arizona to Joan and Paul Hazelett.

Sue enjoyed painting, arts and crafts. She also loved spending time with family, making many great memories. When Sue’s children were younger, she loved to volunteer to make popcorn at their school. In her later years, watching her grandkids was her greatest joy, especially on this past Christmas morning. She loved time spent with Richard as well, and he always chuckles when he remembers their trip to the Smoky Mountains - Sue didn’t want to climb too far for fear she would “fall off!”

Sue was Sue, but her family remembers her always being there when needed most. Sue’s favorite movie, The Wizard of Oz, put it best, “A heart is not judged by how much you love, but by how much you are loved by others.” Sue was very loved.

Susan is survived by her partner, Richard Wilson; her father, Paul Hazelett; daughters, Keli, Rosa, Alex, Lacey, Raven; sons, Travis, Jake, Gannon; sister, Beth; and brothers, John, Jim, Jason, Jeff.  She was preceded in death by her mother, Joan Hazelett.
