Gerald “Jerry” Perkins, 71, of Winona Lake passed away unexpectedly on Monday, April 27, 2020 at Lutheran Hospital in Ft. Wayne. He was born June 8, 1948 in Carrollton, Kentucky to Melvin N. and Mary C. (Rosell) Perkins.

Jerry joined the United States Army in 1965 serving as a medic before his honorable discharge in 1968. Most of all, he enjoyed spending quality time with family and friends.

His niece Haley writes: “Those special memories of you, will always make me smile. If only I could have you back, just for a little while. Then we could still sit and talk again, just like we used to. You always meant so much to me and always will. The fact that you are no longer here, will always cause me pain, but you’re forever in my heart, until we meet again.”
