Obituary

William “Bill” Gerrity, Sr., 68, of Warsaw, passed away on Saturday, December 3, 2022, at Lutheran Hospital in Warsaw. He was born on January 5, 1954, in Germany and was adopted by Ray and Rosemary (Snoreck) Gerrity at the age of five. On June 19, 1978, Bill married Susan Morehead, sharing 45 years together. She survives.

Bill joined the Navy and was ready to serve in Vietnam, but the war ended on the day of his graduation from basic training. He would go on and serve until his honorable discharge. He worked for NASA and later drove semi and was a million-mile driver. He was a quiet man, who enjoyed weightlifting, bowling, was very creative and enjoyed wood working. Many of his family and friends have personalized ornaments hanging on their trees today. He loved to travel and was all about the next adventure. He was a wonderful husband, father and friend.

Bill is survived by his wife, Susan of Warsaw, a sister, Patty Marlowe of Syracuse, his adopted grandchildren, Abby, Skye and Kinsley and a large extended family.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his son, William “Billy” Gerrity, Jr.

In keeping with Bill’s wishes a private cremation will take place.
